I just joined this forum when I did a search on HP Envy hinge problems and found so many comments. I am also having a problem with my left hinge which is causing separation of my case. My computer is still on warranty for about another week so I submitted a claim through the HP warranty center which was denied (I think. The message wasn't clear but the header said my case was closed).
I take care of my equipment with my prior laptop (much cheaper ACER) lasting about 5 years. The more expensive HP shouldn't be considered a disposable item within a year.
Any help or advise on what else I can do to keep my laptop functional would be greatly appreciated!
