HP Omen 15-5206tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'm planning to upgrade my HP Omen 15-5206tx laptop's 256gb m.2 SSD to a Samsung 960 evo 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD and am wondering if its compatible, if not what other M.2 SSD’s would be compatible with this laptop?

There isn't much useful information on M.2 SSD upgrades for this laptop and I'm in need of a storage upgrade. I'm not sure if information about my laptop and stock SSD will help any, but here,

Laptop information:

Laptop name: HP Omen 15-5206tx

Product Number: P7F33PA#ABG

SSD information:

Part Number: 788612-001

SSD Name: SanDisk SD6PP4M-256G-1006 - 238.47 GB

HP PartSurfer name: SPS-SSD 256GB M2 PCIe MLC

I don't have any information on the compatible M.2 key types or supported length sorry.

Any help would be appreciated,

Josh

Your manual says this.

512 GB, MLC, 2280 DS, PCIe   788611-001

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04620176

But I have seen people that have been able to go higher in the capacity.
