Hi,

You've to get hard drive replaced with a new one of similar form factor.

Old one has failed.

Use Recovery USB/DVD to factory reset OS after replacement.

If you have not created one, order them from HP.

If you're within warranty, contact HP.

HP would replace it free of cost.

But should I be able to log on to normal functions after pressing enter on the boot device not found screen?
HP Recommended

Not if hard drive has failed and is not accessible.

HP Recommended
So would that mean my hard-drive is just loose in my laptop?
HP Recommended

Not if failure ID as obtained after hard drive tests.

You can reseat hard drive by disconnecting and reconnecting it from SATA cable if you want to confirm.

Then why do I have full functionality ?

It's impending complete failure
