Ok went to install an ADDITIONAL M.2 SSD in my envy only to precariously remove the keyboard and discover my laptop DOSENT have the M.2 adaptor AT ALL, Ive watched numerous folks dismantle and install m.2 in thier w105dx and yet mine ISNT there, SOoo I ordered a SSD and will swap them out, My question is what the best way to back up the HDD to the SSD, seeing how in my M7 i was able to have both drives in at once, in this I dont have that option, I bought an SATA to USB connector in anticipation of backing here up. P.S. m7 runs quite fast now with new ADATA SSD 480Gb reads are at 540ish and writes are around 480ish

From my understanding: now you wish to replace the current HDD with a new SSD. That is very simple, the following steps are what I normally do:
(a) Buy an USB external 2.5" enclosure (I already have a dock, but in your case, buy one, you can reuse it later), and house the SSD in it.
(b) Clone the exsiting HDD to SSD using one of many cloning software around. I've been using the following product and 100% successful.

(c) Physical swap the SSD and the HDD,
Now you can reuse old HDD as an external HDD.
Regards.
