I would like to buy the HP Pavilion 15-au119na and the ony review I can find criticises it harshly for being slow. Is this reliable or where can I find other reviews?
HP shop is offering gold and silver only. Is there an equivalent machine in black? And with a heavier shell?
What kind is the ssd - eg PCl ? SATA?
Thanks

Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05228250
Specs: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-15-au100-notebook-pc/12499208/document/c05363744
SSD is 128GB 2280 M.2 SATA-3.
Wirless connectivity that is built-in is not good enough. It is not Dual band card.
Slowness may be due to 2.5 inch SATA HDD.
About colour we've no idea. This is a public forum where all members helping others are end users like you. HP maintains no official presence here. You may need to contact HP sales directly.

You can chat with a sales agent. We have no way to know what is in stock for colors. There is no alternate chassis. If you want something more robust you have to consider a business model.
I frankly would be surprised if that machine is "slow" except for games, it is integrated video only. The 128 gig M.2 mSSD is a SATA. I would advise against a 128 gig system drive. You really need at least 256 gigs and better 512.

Hi,
The following link shows its specs
http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-15-au100-notebook-pc/12499208/document/c05363744
It has dual storage: both M.2 SSD (for Operating system and programs/apps) and SATA HDD for user files/data.
For the color, depends on market I think. But in the UK, it only has Modern gold cover, ash silver keyboard frame. You can always buy other model with different color, please check HP Store in your country and retailers.
Regards.

Hi,
As mentioned above SSD (which is 128GB) should be more than enought for Windows and other programs/apps. One of my test machines has 128GB and it has Windows plus dozens of software and sofware suites on it and I still have 30% free.
This machine also has 1TB of HDD to store your files/data. All you need: redirect all your files/data to it (downloaded musics, videos ... ). Widows 10 also allows you to install some apps from Windows Store to other drive outside C:
