I have HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b159sx Sleekbook and I want to upgrade the RAM to 16GB.
My hardware specification:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-15-Sleekbook/5330569/model/5378819/document/c0373048...
1.Is it possible regarding to the hardware specification?
2.Will changing the ram to 16GB make a noticeable difference?
Best regards,

Here is the Service Manual:
P. 4: Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM in the following configurations: ● 8192 MB total system memory (4096 MB × 2) (no support for 32 bit operating systems)
So the answer to both your questions is "no". However, if you still have the original 6 gigs you will see noticeable improvement upgrading to 8 because you will not only gain an extra 25% of memory but what you have will run in dual channel mode which is perhaps 10% faster. This is the HP Part No. for the 4 gig module:
4 GB 641369-005
Memory has gotten inexpensive so it makes sense to just buy 2 new modules to be sure they are identical and will run in dual channel:
Unfortunately access to th ememory module slots requires removal of the motherboard. See p. 69 of the Manual. Post back if you need any more help.
