My product has #ab8 after the p/n number. What does this mean? Imperfect/Defective?

Hello,

According to the International Region Code HP AB8 is for products manufactured and sold in Turkey.
e.g. ABF = France, AB8 = Turkey.

So this only tells you where the product is sold, so there is no need to worry about hardware failure on your notebook or desktop.

Do not hesitate to contact us if needed.
