I find this piece of software to be a right royal pain in the proverbial. I want to deinstall, or otherwise disable it. My PC is a HP Pavilion dv7-6c50ei running MS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1.
I was quite happy with the standard messages from IE9 whenever there was a network glitch, but I can find no way to get rid of this HP Network Check. I don't really want to have to deinstall the HP Support Assistant.
Thanks.

Hi AAK1234,
I saw your post and I will be happy to help. What problem are you having with the HP Network Check? What operating system are you running? What is your product number?
Find your product number on a notebook:

Hi AAK1234,
The HP Network Check is part of the HP Support Assistant, it is one of the built in troubleshooting diagnostics. If you want to get rid of the Network Check then you need to uninstall HP Support Assistant. Uninstalling and reinstalling might solve the issue. The second link will show what you will be missing if you uninstall it and decide not to reinstall
