Product: HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer

My printer is 5 years old. I use it in frequently. Last month I replaced the 65 XLcartridgeAnd it was working fine. Last week when I went to use the printer, It went through all of the normal actions and sounds but no ink was on the paper. Is the problem apt to be a faulty printer cartridge or do you think perhaps the printer is going bad?
