Hey,

ive installed my instant ink cartridges that Ive got today.

But now Im getting the Following Error Code: 0xc19a0040.

Ive tryed following things:

- Reset the Printer via Support menue

- unplugged the printer for 120 sec with the cartridges out of the printer

- Reinstalled the old cartridges

- No new FW aviable

- Refitted the print head now 4 times

But nothing fixed the Error Code.

Could it be that the instant Ink Cartridge has something to do with it?

According to this Link Im not the only one who has the Problem Printhead is missing HP

Come on HP

Best Regards

@Er0str4tus, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Insert the old ink cartridge and check if the error persists. By this we can conclude if the new Instant Ink cartridges are defective.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - '0xc19a0005' or Similar Error Code Displays

Also, check if there are any jams inside the printer, refer to - Paper Jam Error

Check if the print carriage is moving freely. Refer to 'Carriage Jam' or 'E3' Error Displays

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly seated - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

Now, try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue. If the printer makes a copy, the hardware is fine.

Hey,

thanks for the fast reply. Ive done all these Things but with the same result: Oxc19a0040. No paperjams and Im also getting the Error with the empty Hp cartridge. I even cant access the Settings anymore. The strange thing is that the printer is doing a Printhead cleaning while showing the Error. Cleaning the Contacts also wont help.

Ive bought a Printhead cleaning fluid and give it a try.

Unfortunately there are no repair shops around my location.

I hobe somebody has a solution.

Best Regards

@Er0str4tus

If you are getting the same error with a different set of ink cartridges, I'm afraid the issue is with the printer and not the Instant Ink cartridges.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
