HP OfficEJet Pro 8715: I have a supply system Problem  and it refers to a cartridge replacement. Does that mean the one of the cartridges is empty? If so How do I know which one is empty?

Hi @Guajiro1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.

  • Reset the printer
  • Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
  • Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.

Check cartridges for ink

  • Shake the cartridges to verify they contain ink.
  • Turn on the printer, and then open the door or lid to the cartridge access area.
  • Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.
  • Push each ink cartridge to remove it.

Removing cartridges

  • Shake the cartridge to verify that it contains ink.
  • If the cartridge contains ink, push it back into its slot until it snaps into place.
  • If the cartridge does not contain ink, replace it with a new cartridge.
  • Repeat these steps to remove and check all the cartridges.
  • Close the door or lid to the cartridge access area.
