Hi @Maz1994,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand there might be a mix-up with the ink cartridges for your HP DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Printer.

Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Verify Cartridge Model: Ensure that the cartridges you received are indeed the HP 67 or HP 305 models, as these are compatible with the HP DeskJet 2710e. The cartridges should be clearly labeled with the model number.

Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure you are installing the cartridges correctly. Follow these steps:

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Insert the black cartridge in the right slot and the tri-color cartridge in the left slot.
  • Push the cartridges firmly into place until they click.

Inspect Cartridges for Damage: Check the cartridges for any physical damage or manufacturing defects that might cause them to be misaligned or oversized.

Compare Old and New Cartridges: If you still have the old cartridges, compare their size and shape with the new ones. They should be identical. If there is a noticeable difference, the new cartridges might be the wrong model or defective.

Return or Exchange Cartridges: If the cartridges are not the correct size, consider returning or exchanging them at the place of purchase. Ensure you get the correct HP 67 or HP 305 cartridges for your printer model.

Steps for Installing HP 67/305 Cartridges in HP DeskJet 2710e

  1. Turn on the Printer: Ensure your printer is powered on.
  2. Open the Ink Cartridge Access Door: Lift the ink cartridge access door until it locks into place.
  3. Remove the Old Cartridges: Gently push down on each cartridge to release it and then pull it out from its slot.
  4. Prepare the New Cartridges:
    • Remove the new cartridge from its packaging.
    • Pull the orange tab to remove the protective tape.
  5. Insert the New Cartridges:
    • Hold the cartridge by its sides with the nozzles facing the printer.
    • Slide the black ink cartridge into the right slot and the tri-color cartridge into the left slot.
    • Push the cartridges in until they click into place.
  6. Close the Ink Cartridge Access Door: Once the cartridges are securely in place, close the ink cartridge access door.
