I bought an HP Envy 5500, and not only does the quality of the photos are over saturated and shaded in what looks like pointillism, but the ink never dries either.  On gloss paper or simple printer paper, the ink stays wet even a month later, not any dryer than when I printed it.  The paper and ink I’m using is correct for my printer, an inkjet, and a fan or blow dryer doesn’t work at all.

It's the paper, use HP photo paper you will see the difference.

I am already using HP paper.  It has the same issue.  The printer is new along with the ink and paper.  All the same brand.
