My printer has developed a problem with the black cartridge printing documents, text is missing on the right hand side and on the quality report the black stops printing 75% across the page. Color prints across the page without issue. Have tried all the cleaning options with no improvement.  Have tried a brand new black cartridge to no effect. Any advice would be welcome print quality scan.jpg

You either have black ink fade (clogged cartridge) or a failed printhead. HP has changed the ink formulation to prevent black ink fade. If the cartridge you just removed had an expiry date earlier than April 2022, then it was the old ink. The procedure to resolve the issue is to install newer ink, check the date to ensure the expiry is after April 2022. Make sure the firmware on the printer is at least 1743 or newer. Then you need to run the Black Ink Fade print recovery file, which is basically a full black page that you print from a USB Key. Unfortunately my Non-Disclosure agreement prevents me from sharing that file and you will need to contact HP technical support to get that file.
