For no apparent reason HP7612 has displayed locked by Admin or network admin. Most funtions are diasbled and show locked. The tool -restore defaults is not clearing this, How can I MASTER reset this to clear this locked status

Welcome to the HP Community @rushforth,
I understand you would like to remove the administrative lock on your HP Officejet 7612. I will be happy to help.
I'll private message you the instructions you need to do a semi-full reset. Note that the reset will erase your wireless settings so you'll likely have to reconnect to your network when the reset's finished. (It's just like setting up the printer out of box at that point).
