When I had set up up the new printer, I also changed the admin password from 12345678 to another one, but now I cannot log in to the Smart printer using my new password, I cannot factory reset my printer(because it is asking me to introduce the admin password) I need help to reset my printer or at least a way to reset my admin password

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Let's reset the network settings on the Printer: ● Press the Wireless button ( ) and the Cancel button ( ) from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

 

Once done, try connecting the Printer to the Wi-Fi:

Hello Betty0610, thank you for your quick reply, I already tryed this key combination and it didn't work because it keeps asking for the admin password, that was mine primary question, hou to reset the printer to the factory settings, meaning the admin user name and 12345678 password, because apparently after 2 hours on the phone with an HP representative I am still locked out and I can only use my printer if I'm connected with the USB cable. And it is so frustrating that nowhere in the user manual doesn't specify that if you change the admin password for the printer you cannot clearly reset it to the factory settings and you risk to not use it any more at the full capacity. And yes the HP guy connected remotely to my printer and he could not do anything, because it is still asking for my password ( password was set using an password generator, and I just  copy/paste it in the proper field and hit the apply button) but soon after I have tryed to enter in to the printer settings when it is asking me for the password it keep telling me that the password is incorrect, I have typed it but the same results, so you see, I cannot access any settings because I don't have access to the printer because it doesn't recognise my password anymore. And the most frustrating part is that you don't have  set for this printer a simple key combination in order to reset it as new. There is any one on the HP know how to fix this? Thank you.

I'm not sure where to look for your private message, because next to  my username on the top left corner, the only icon  I can see is just a bell, there is no envelope what so ever, also if I were to follow the instructions provided in your link, next to your username I see only two buttons,' friend' and 'ignore', there is no 'send a private message' button as shown in the example provided. Or maybe I am not seeing it because I didn't get any messages yet? Thank you for your effort and support. Best regards.
