I have this same issue with my HP Officejet 4650 - extra blank sheet print after each print job.  Using Widows 10, 64 bit.  However, it seems to start doing this immediately after replancing the ink cartriges as needed.  I use HP in cartridges, member of HP InstaInk.  Each time, it seems to requre a different method to resolve this issue.  I agree with the frustration:  print job triggers the print arm to unfold to catch the paper as it prints.  Then, I have to close/fold the print arm to access the paper try in order to install the blank sheet(s) back into the paper try.  The online trouble shooting guides recommend downloading driver updates and/or uninstalling and reinstalling printer - what a hassle every time I change my print cartridges!   And, today, that didn't resolve the issue.  The HP system gives me a message that all my drivers are up to date.

I am glad that you mentioned changing cartridges!  I think that is what triggers it.  Sometimes I just use the old method of unplugging and waiting and replugging.  I do try to keep up the driver updates but hadn't thought about them as a trigger for the extra page.  Thanks for sharing your post.  The things you shared make sense to me.

My work printer feeds an extra sheet of paper about 60 seconds after every print job.  EVERY TIME

This is an office printer.  That means if we make 500 prints a year, we waste an entire ream of paper.  Think about multiplying that by the number of printers that HP manufactured and you see some serious waste going on.
