I used to be able to 'custom' resize anything I wanted to copy. All of a sudden it only lets me resize at 100% and nothing else. What can I do to return to that original setting.
I've checked for updated software/drivers and system tells me I'm up to date on that.
thank you...
Maria

I've done the resetting, unplugging, and that did not help. I finally had to go into the HP printer asssistant settings, (Printer Home Page (EWS) and there I noticed that the printer was copy on full size and it had the 'custom' setting which I clicked and left it that way. Clicked apply and sure enough the printer screen now shows the custom option so I can copy something at the 'size' want. Done.
Thank you for the response.......Maria

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand you are no longer able to change copy/resize settings on your printer,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you reset the printer?
Have you attempted to update the printer firmware?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:
-
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 60 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
-
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
HP regularly releases new printer firmware versions with product enhancements or issue fixes. Depending on your printer, apps on the printer control panel might also receive updates. Update firmware and apps on a regular basis to make sure you are getting the most out of your printer.
