Printer is frozen on first bullet of start up screen. Tried powering off by unplugging and holding down power button for 15 seconds. Go right back to loading on first bullet of start up screen.

Hi @Cobysworld,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer is experiencing a startup issue.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Check Power Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to a power source and that the power cord is securely plugged in. Try plugging it into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.
  • Remove External Devices: Disconnect any external devices such as USB drives, memory cards, or Ethernet cables from the printer. Sometimes, connected devices can cause startup issues.
  • Restart Printer: While the printer is connected to the power source, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn on the printer. This will perform a power cycle which might help resolve the issue.
  • Reset Printer: If the issue persists, you can try resetting the printer to its default settings. To do this, locate the reset button on your printer (usually a small hole) and use a paperclip or similar tool to press and hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds. After releasing the button, the printer should restart.
  • Update Firmware: If possible, check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the firmware can fix bugs and improve overall performance. Update the firmware on an HP printer

I hope this helps.
