My printer is Photo Envet7800 All in One.

I was printing and I heard a thunk. The screen turned blue with a power symbol in the center. I couldn’t make it go away or make printer print. The error code is 00829C98. Please help.

Hi @CLR47,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your printer might be experiencing a hardware or software issue. The error code you provided, 00829C98, typically indicates a problem with the printer's internal system.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This simple step can sometimes reset the printer and clear any temporary errors.
  • Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or foreign objects that might be blocking the printer mechanism. Make sure to remove any obstructions carefully.
  • Update Firmware: If possible, check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues. Reset to Factory Settings: If the printer has a reset option in the settings menu, you can try resetting it to factory settings. This will restore the printer to its default configuration, which might help resolve the issue.
