Hi @Swagat95,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Encountering a new printer head error message can be frustrating, especially after just replacing it. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  • Check Installation: Ensure that the printer head was installed correctly. Sometimes, improper installation can lead to errors. Make sure it is securely seated in its slot and all connections are properly made.
  • Clean Contacts: If the contacts on the printer head or within the printer are dirty or covered in ink residue, it can cause communication errors. Carefully clean both the contacts on the printer head and within the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol.
  • Reset Printer: Power off the printer completely and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and power it on. This can sometimes reset any temporary glitches causing the error.
  • Update Firmware/Drivers: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, HP release updates to address bugs or compatibility issues. Similarly, make sure your printer drivers are up to date on your computer.
  • Inspect for Damage: Check the printer head for any visible damage or defects.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and hopefully resolve the new printer head error on your HP printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
