hello All 

 

 My Printer model is Photosmart B210 

 I got error Message :  Please insert Set UP Cardrige ... But  i don't have it . 

 

Is there a way to solve this issue ?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

Step 1: Check your ink cartridges

When you set up your printer for the first time, you must install the SETUP ink cartridges that came with the printer. Open the door to access the ink cartridges, and then make sure the ink cartridges are labeled SETUP.

  • If your new printer did not come with SETUP ink cartridges, do not continue with the steps in this document. Return the printer to the retailer.

  • If the ink cartridges that came with your new printer are labeled SETUP, continue to the next step.

  • If your printer was working fine, and you installed new ink cartridges, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges

Remove each ink cartridge, and then reinsert them in their color-coded slots.

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Open the door to access the ink cartridges.

  3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.

  4. Push the tab on an ink cartridge, and then pull the ink cartridge from its slot.

    CAUTION: Do not leave the ink cartridges outside the printer longer than 30 minutes. Doing so can result in damage to both the printer and the ink cartridges.

  5. Reinsert the ink cartridge into its color-coded slot, and then press down on it until it snaps into place.

  6. Repeat these steps to remove and reinsert the remaining ink cartridges.

  7. Close the ink cartridge access door.

If the error persists, continue to the next step.

Step 3: Reset the printer

Reset the printer to recover from printer failures.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

Hello,

 

The printer is not new.  I replaced the HEADPRINTER  , then my printer requested Set UP  cardrige . 

But I don't have this Set UP Cardrige 

Is there a method to By pass this failure ?

Thank you for posting back. 

 

SETUP ink cartridges are used only to set up a new HP printer or printhead and supply ink for the first series of your print jobs. They are specially designed to initialize a printer and calibrate ink levels. SETUP cartridges cannot be used after the printer has been initialized. Remove and install non-SETUP cartridges.

Hello 

Sorry for the delay. 

I just buy new  cardrige , and install them in my printer . But i  have the same issue . Message : Please install set up Cardrige. 

 

I read some tuto where this issue can be solved by a  specific procedure , send by a private   Message. 

 

Could you support me again and sent this as a private Message.
