Hi @Bub226,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 4520 printer is displaying a blue screen and won't start, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here's a troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem.

  • Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, this simple step can resolve temporary glitches.
  • Check Power Source: Ensure that the power outlet is working properly. Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the power source.
  • Inspect Cables and Connections: Check all cables connected to the printer, including the power cord and any USB or Ethernet cables. Make sure they are securely plugged in and not damaged.
  • Update Firmware: If possible, update the printer's firmware to the latest version. Firmware updates can sometimes fix bugs and improve overall performance.
  • Reset Printer: Perform a reset on the printer. This process can vary depending on the printer model, so refer to the user manual for instructions on how to reset your specific printer model.
  • Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges: Turn off the printer and open the ink cartridge access door. Remove the ink cartridges and then reinsert them firmly into their respective slots. Close the ink cartridge access door and turn the printer back on to see if the issue is resolved.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with your HP Envy 4520 printer not starting and displaying a blue screen.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
