HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This all-in-one printer has served me well for at least 10 years.   It needed a 564 Cyan cartridge.  I bought an HP three pack of 564 color cartridges.  Put the new cartridge in, the printer says "There is a problem with the printer or ink system.  Turn printer off and then on.  If problem persists contact HP".  I have cleaned the new cartridge and the port it goes into.  Tried the off and on as well as the unplug for 60 seconds.  Tried putting the old cartridge back, thinking the new cartridge might be defective.  Old cartridge throws the same error.

Looking for any other suggestions to try, short of replacing the printer.

Thank You!!

Hi @RYoung-Richmond,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

I am glad to know that you had this printer for 10yrs.

If you have performed all the steps from this document and used new cartridges and still having issues, then the printer needs to be checked.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
