HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477 series
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I have set up and confirmed my network folder using the printer's web server. Tested successfully. However, when I scan a document, I get the error on the Printer Control Panel:

"Cannot write to \\192.168.1.4\My Scans. Destination folder is read-only, has the wrong permissions, or is no longer available."

I have the all of the permissions for this folder set to Read/Write. I'm not sure why this isn't working correctly.

Kind Regards,
Josh

Scan to email is not the issue. It's scan to network folder.

I have the same issue.  When I ask for help they tell me to check out the EWS video. I have done this and its 100 % correct.  Thats not the issue.  HP before told me its an issue with MAC OS.  I dont know if it was fixed but I still get the same msg.  What a waste of time and money.  1 month no one has helped

I have followed these instructions shown on this video, and I'm still getting the following error:

"Cannot write to \\192.168.1.4\My Scans. Destination folder is read-only, has the wrong permissions, or is no longer available."

I'm using MacOS High Sierra.

Please advise.

Josh

Same issue here. Will it ever be fixed? I've tried every single solution adviced on this forum and nothing helps. 😞
