Welcome to the HP User Community.

Open

HP DeskJet 2700, 4100, 4800 Printers - Blinking Lights

The tiny envelope is an Instant Ink icon.

There do not seem to be any error lights in the image.

I would guess the little envelope icon is benign (not indicating any trouble).

Yeah, but...

If you have an Instant Ink subscription,

  • The envelope is perhaps indicating the status.
  • If you are concerned, log into your Instant Ink Account and Contact Instant Ink Support.

If you do NOT have an Instant Ink subscription,

  • The envelope might simply be indicating the printer COULD support a subscription to the service.
  • Unless there is a problem with the printer, ignore the little envelope icon.
