Recently bought for 1,500+. Its running Windows 8 on it and is running so slow than my old PC. The store said it was the best PC they had so I got it and it does not perform as good as I thought so I took it back and they said they fixed it and it only fixed it a little in the speed. Not much improvment. Please help me with this I don't know whats wrong but Im going to probly end up taking this computer back.

WORST COMPUTER EVER!! HANDS-DOWN!!!
I regret SO MUCH buying this computer. Nothing but problems from the start. SLOW EVERYTHING! Tech Support offered me NO help after an update wouold not allow me to access the internet any longer. They actually wanted me to PAY for a service agreement! - -Seriously! YOUR update made the error and you wont fix it unless i PAY YOU.... DON'T THINK SO! going shopping for a REAL computer this weekend! What a waste!

hello,
i JUST purchased this computer this week and the performance is TERRIBLE.
the document you posted has nothing to help me - i do not have spyware or old programs or anything "old" to clear out. this computer is BRAND NEW.
this computer is supposed to have 8GB of ram and it runs twice as slow as my old MAC that is ten years old and only has 2 GB of ram.
seriously the slowest computer i've ever owned. it's slow on basic things like text file opening!
can someone from HP please explain this - you can't possibly be serious that i am supposed to believe this is 8GB of ram.

Why does it run so slow, I clear off my cache and cookies and do a CC cleaner and it runs a little faster just for a bit, then slows right down.
Could it be Google Chrome, I would like to remove this, but it will not let me do it.
Help. Like others are saying this is the slowest product I have had in a lot of years now, my older models worked much faster and still do.
Thanks for all.

I sure wish I could help you. I've had mine 48 hours. Hooked up yesterday. BOTH yahoo and goggle emails are freezing, not moving except very slowly. I' like to heave this new computer out the window and am WHOLLY disappointed I even ventured forth to buy it. My Dell was having some issues. This HP Pavilion C60 was recommended with Windows 8.1. I too believe I may have made a crucial error in buying it
Sincerely,
