Hi Devan,
Sounds like the printer drivers may have become corrupted.
Try scrubbing all of the HP drivers from you computer, and then perform a clean install.
1. Type %temp% in the run field
2. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
3. Open folder Util
4. Open folder CCC
5. Run the L4uninstall.bat
6. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
7. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
8. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
9. Type %temp% in the run field
10. Delete all files in the %temp% folder. Some files may say they can't be deleted just skip them.
11. Download the full feature software and drivers - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=3390947
12. Run the download to reinstall the printer

Hi Lee102,
Uninstall the software you do have thru the Start menu or Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.
Then go to this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-search.html?tab=1#/qryterm=photosmart%25207520&searchtype=s-002
and select your operating system that youre using and you will be directed to the 7520 drivers.

AlwaysNeon - I have unpluged the power and USB and then deleted all HP software from my computer then downloaded OJProl7xco_Full_14.exe multiple times (5) with the same results. Software looks like it loads with no error messages then after I answer some fax questions I get a spinning disk on the screen with a black Solution Center icon that tries to open but only gives a black screen. I have down loaded the fax & print doctor multiple times but no help there because the hardware works! I can print, scan, copy, and fax using the buttons on the hardware. Why does the HP Solution Center desktop icon not work? What do I have to do to make it work? I seem to remember last year I had a similar problem and talked to someone at HP (I noticed that in all the HELP screens on HP there are no phone numbers - wonder why?) and the tech had to send an icon to my desktop. Doesn't look like HP has done anything to fix THEIR problem. I am not imprressed with them on this point. Anyway I still do not have a Solution Center icon on my desktop that functions correctly. My computer has a 6 core processor & 12GB RAM with operating system Windows 7 Home Premium. Any suggestions?
