Hi
I am updating an HP printer/fax, and taking away a HP Officejet Pro 8610 and want to know:
a) Is there any internal memory?
b) If so, how to delete that?
c) The fax function is also used, so if machine has stored memory etc, how can I delete.
Thank you.

Hello, @TJ0601 - Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
There is very minimal internal memory for this printer model. This is only used to carry the printer firmware and also for the temporary jobs. No print / fax jobs can be stored in the printer memory.
Also to reset the printer, simply perform a hard reset. Follow the steps below:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
Cheers 🙂
