We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Every time I scan it is saved as a chrome file even though I select PDF when I start to scan.  Where is the setting to change this to a pdf in windows 10.  Thanks!

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

 

The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

Here's some scanning tips.

Thanks so much!  I actually do have the software installed but figured out that my problem is that somehow the default program for pdfs got changed to chrome.  I'm sure it did this to avoid adobe reader because I can't stand this version!!  I guess I'll just try regular reader now.  Thanks so much for your quick response!
