I have an office jet j4580 all-in-one printer. I was sold a 901 XL black ink cartridge which worked briefly at the start now all I get on my printer is "Print cartridge problem black Refer to device documentation to trouble shoot.). Which I think is telling me I have the wrong cartridge . I have taken it out. Turned printer off, unplugged it. What can I do to make it work again? Or do I have to just buy the another normal 901 black cartridge

If this guide does not help, please contact HP phone support for further assistance. (After you fill out the information, you will be given a phone number.) If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Country-language selector.
