5 beeps help

I reciently got an hp compaq dc5000 mt from my work because they were trading out all the computers, i figured a free computer would be great.  I didnt com with ram or a hard drive so I pike dup some used ones cheap.  After I installed the hardware it beeps 5 times at me.  I looked this up and it seems to be a memory error.  I tried switching the slots where the ram is but that didnt seem to help (I got two sticks of 1gb ddr ram and tried every combo there is).

Any ideas on what is going on there?

Re: 5 beeps help

The SEC RAM could be causing the issue. This unit was configured to handle only SDRAMs with up to 400 MHz. The part number for a compatible SDRAM is 335700-001. Try using this one as it definitely could be a non-compatibility issue.
