Replacing my HP liquid cooler with an air one, is it possible?

870-210se
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was wondering if this is possible. Can I send my HP Desktop PC to HP and can HP replace my liquid cooling system and remove it, put in a HP air cooling system? Is that something HP can do?

@Hitmanfan, welcome back to the forum.

It is not the policy of HP to do replacement components on computers that are out of warranty.  Your best option would be to find a qualified local computer shop to do the work.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to remove the liquid cooling?

Well I'm scared the liquid is gonna leak. And it sounds like a washing machine, I'm uncomfortable with liquid being this close to electrical components.

Removing the AIO and installing a fan-style CPU cooler is remarkably easy. It takes approximately 20minutes- with most of that time used to remove thermal paste from the cpu IHS.

Is a CPU cooler that should fit in your PC. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the additional information, @Hitmanfan.

I understand why you would not like the sound of a washing machine in your computer.  I have heard reports that some of the fans on the coolers are loud.  Fortunately, I have an Omen with liquid cooling and it is very quiet.  Liquid cooling has been around for many years and proven to be very safe.  The systems that HP uses are top quality.  They are the only way to go for overclockers.
