Hi! @Hawkzz, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand that you are getting error Display driver nvlddmkm stopped while playing game on your PC.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

It looks to be a problem with NVIDIA graphics driver.

So, uninstall the NVIDIA graphics driver from device manager.

Restart your PC and install the latest graphics driver using this link.

Also, please update the BIOS using this link.

Let me know if this works!

Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂

@Hawkzz

Thank you for the update,

I appreciate your time and efforts,

I'm not sure what exactly is it that you are referring to,

Considering the link I shared has at least Nine different steps and suggestions before reinstalling windows!

I would appreciate If you could go through the link I had shared earlier, In fact here are a few steps that should help:

Step 4: Install Windows updates

Download and install all available updates for Windows, then perform the action that you were doing when the error first occurred, for example, playing a game or watching a movie, to test if the error reoccurs.

Step 5: Adjust visual effects in Windows

To adjust your computer for better performance, disable some or all of the visual effects.

Step 6: Adjust settings within the game or program

Adjusting settings within the game or program, for example reducing anti-aliasing or screen resolution, lowers the quality of the graphics but makes graphics card-related errors less likely.

Step 7: Improve system performance

Increase the overall performance of your computer. There are many things you can do to improve system performance.

Optional Step 8: If you want to upgrade memory, see the HP support document HP Desktop PCs - Upgrading Memory (RAM) (in English) or HP Notebook PCs - Upgrading Memory (RAM) (in English)

Step 9: If you want to improve system performance without adding memory, refer to one of the following HP support documents, depending on your operating system.

Perform the action that you were doing when the error first occurred, for example, playing a game or watching a movie, to test if the error reoccurs.

  • If these steps resolved the issue, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

  • If the issue persists, continue to the next solution.

Here's the link for your reference (again): Click here

Hi,

Does the problem occur with all games or only with specific game? Does it also occur on other occasions while not gaming?

Have you tried installing the latest drivers from Nvidia?

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/116348/en-us

Let me know,

David
