Hi, I've been using a HP Envy m6-1232ea (product number E0R92EA#ABU). I got it about a month or so ago and from getting it I've been able to use Simplepass' Web logon feature easily with google chrome. Today however upon opening chrome, I received a notification that the web logon extension needed permission to work. (this also occured upon first installing chrome when I got the laptop first, so this didn't seem right at all). Thinking this to simply be a mistake on the browser's part I decline the notification but go to my extensions page to check my original Web logon extension was still enabled, it was enabled and I thought that it should all continue to work as it has before.
Now, however, the extension doesn't work for google chrome. The app doesn't display the usual notifications (such as "swipe an enrolled finger to log in" etc.). I've checked the simplepass software and the web logon is also enabled on that too, I've also checked all my webcards on there and they all are in line too. Out of curiosity I tried using internet explorer and simplepass works as it should with that browser, but not with google chrome. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome and Simplepass at least twice each in an attempt to revert it all to how it was. I honestly cannot think of anything else i can possibly do to solve this issue, does anybody know of a fix (or at least a reason) for this issue?

I also am having this problem. I installed an update for iTunes this morning and after I restarted Simple Pass would not work on Chrome. I updated to the newest version of Simple Pass, version 220.127.116.11. I reinstalled Chrome (Version 29.0.1547.57 m) a couple times and it still doesn't work. Interestingly Simple Pass works just fine on IE and Firefox. If anybody finds a solution, please let me know. Not having Simple Pass is so inconvenient!

I am also having the same problem on google chrome on my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, Product number: A1M22AV. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1. May I ask how you updated Hp simple pass to 6.1 as I am still on 6.0 thanks

But you can get 18.104.22.168 from http://support.authentec.com/Downloads/windows/hpsimplepass.aspx
Pretty much the same thing.

Same issue... no love between SimplePass & Chrome with this set-up for a few weeks now:

Uninstalling Chrome and installing a previous version worked for me.

So HP doesn't want to do anything about our problem. Lenovo did fix the bug for their customers: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=277904 . To install an older Version of Chrome isn't an option for me.

This is for Simplepass Version 188.8.131.526, and works for all Win7 and Win8 versions. New extension ID for my Win7 x64: kanflfepiobnpjbljmngfgegijhdpljm
