My HP G60-235DX notebook screen crapped out on me. I took it to a shop to get the screen replaced.
The guy called me back and said he's having trouble finding a replacement screen. Apparently, it's an
LCD screen and now most screens are LED. He gave me the part # from the screen LTN160AT02.
When I looked online in the owners/parts manual...nothing even close comes up.
In the "Display assembly" section, I see 496761-001 / 496762-001.
Does anyone know which HP "spare part #" corresponds with the LTN160AT02 part?
If any, that is.
Thanks for the help.

For just the screen, you want part # 496769-001. I am currently looking for the same screen and have not had much luck finding one. It seems since they are switching to LED screens now, the LCD is in limited supply. So those that have them are asking ridiculous amounts. I've seen refurbished ones for over $400.
The most common solution I am seeing is to buy the compatible LED screen that comes with a conversion kit. I've seen those on a variety of sites and they run around $190 and up for a new one.
Good luck in your search.

I went to google and typed ltn160at02 and searched and found various sights. Now Im not saying that it doesnt cost cause Ive seen it as high as 500 dollars but if you keep lookin you will find one as cheap as 135 dollars. I think that was on ebay. I believe www.amazon.com also had it on their site for around 150 so they can be found if you keep trying.

I ended up going with the LED replacement screen. I found the correct one on EBay for around $170 and it included the conversion cable and excellent instructions. It looks great and the owner of the laptop told me it works perfectly.
Prices have come down significantly if you're still in need of a screen.

yes I do still need a screen and I actually found one after for 81 dollar it is a toshiba sccreen but it says it is 17 inches and doesnt actually give the part number so Im kind of iffy about trying to get it. I cant afford much due to the economy and lay-off and parents are willing to chip in, so I dont want to get the wrong thing and incur other cost. If you have any suggestions I would be more than appreciative for some help
