Had a W8 with a W10 upgrade. When restarting a got two error messages in a loop.
I could not acces the restore function so i did the F2 system quick test and extensive test and all was fine. I reinstalled W8 using the discs. Once done i did the windows update. I installed W10 in the evening and left the unit, it seemed like the computer froze showing only the hp screen, but late evening so i left computer over night. Still the same HP svreen i. The morning, force shut down after awhile and then the computer cannt start, no F commands or esc can be used and i cannot reinstall the W8.
Anyone have a plan B?

Thank you Chetan for your peply,
No this does not work. Maybe i was a bit unclear but the thing is that after or during upgrade to W10 the computer froce on the HP screen. Now when trying to boot/start nothing happens. Light is on, fan is running but no F command or Esc does work. No HP screen is visible. DVD player is working but i cannot reload the W8 as i cannot use any F commands.

Hey there! thanks for the reply, And thank you for providing the product information.
I understand that you just see black screen on your PC.
Can you try to remove hard drive and memory on your PC clean them and put them back in.
And check whether you are able to boot into your PC.
If yes then please turn on the unit keep tapping f10 key.
You will boot into BIOS go to file select BIOS default.
Save changes and exit.
If you are still unable to boot into your PC it could be hardware issue.
Please contact HP phone support.

Have you tried using a different mouse and keyboard?
Please try using a USB mouse and keyboard and try accessing BIOS F10.
Let me know how it goes!
Have a great day!

As you mentioned that you still have the same issue using USB mouse and keyboard it could be a hardware issue.
It could be a problem with the system board.
Please contact HP phone support and get hardware service options.
