830 G5

We have recently supplied a 830 G5 with a 45W Power Supply and a USB-C Docking Solution which ships with a 90W power supply.  Customer has mentioned that the connections are similar looking and are concerned if they put the 90W power supply into the laptop in error.

Can someone please advise if there should be any issues if a mix up of the 2 different power supplies happen.

Thanks

Hi,

It is not a problem as the Voltage is the same. So even if the W is higher, the computer will only use the power needed.

Hope it helps,

David
