HP Z38c Curved Display

I'm having issues mounting the bracket when it's fully secured it should be popped out as seen in pic one, but I cannot seem to make it secure. I think I might need a replacement backplate as I think the current one is fualty.

 

IMG1 See how its fully popped out and is locked in place. IMG2, however, isn't secure and I cannot seem to make the clip pop out holding it in place. Note I'm using all the original parts I got with the box.  Thanks
