Hp probook 640 g1

I there I just got a hp probook 640 g1 and it's bios locked is there any other way of opening it other than contacting hp or removing the chip please

Contacting HP will do you no good because HP does not reset BIOS passwords on existing systemboards  HP will charge you a fortune to replace the system board with a new one that does not have the BIOS locked.

 

Also, the BIOS chip is soldered to the systemboard, not socketed like in a desktop -- so it is not removable.
