Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I having a problem with my notebook keyboard. Some of the keys are not functioning. These include the numeric keypad (numlock is not switching off), left and right arrows, f9, =, backslash, del and pg up.

I have tried:

- uninstallling the keyboard driver and restarting the laptop so that the driver is reinstalled

-performing a hard reset

-connecting an external keyboard - it works

-testing the keyboard in BIOS - the rest of the keys except the above work

Windows is upto date. I'm not sure what else to do?

Hi,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

This problems seems not related to the keyboard driver. Based on the description and the fact that:

- it works with external keyboard

- these keys also fail in the BIOS test

this confirms the problem is hardware related.

Perform a hardware reset >> https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c01684768

If it doesn't help, the PC will need to be serviced:

= If the PC is with active warranty, reach to HP Support for free in-warranty help

= If the PC is with warranty expired, you can bring it to any service center of your preference or to HP Authorized Service center.

If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Here is more info:
