Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My workstation takes too long to start up. Up to 3 minutes. What can I do?

first check that the 4 internal SAS/SATA cables are connected to the Intel "SCU" ports which are next to the 2 Intel SATA blue or grey ports (note that the data cables are labeled 1-3 and the SCU port 0 is closest to the blue/grey ports

next enter the z820 bios and disable the LSI boot rom option

(windows will still see/use these ports but no longer boot from them)

now disable the boot rom for the two motherboard nics

do you have a external usb device attached like a Hard Drive?
