Hi all !!!!

I run into a problem with my workstation after i lost Ethernet device in windows. I don't know if this was caused by a power outage because no other comp connected to the same router was affected, router in perfect condition. I searched around the forum and various internet sources and i could identify the chip on motherboard, inspected around and no signs of exfoliation or discoloration. The chip is hot has a high temperature and the green led on Ethernet socket is permanently on. I boot system using an Linux distribution with no positive results, no Ethernet hardware. The chip is not disabled in BIOS and HP testing utilities are not helpful.

Please, if someone got into the same problem or can provide a solution is very welcome to advise me.

Thank you all for your time by reading this post,

Coto
