xw4400
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP xw4400 workstation. It came with HP nvidia Quadro FX 1500 graphics card.

I require working drivers for nvidia Quadro FX 1500 graphics card to be installed on Windows 10 x64 OS.

Can anyone please help, as I’m unable to find compatible Windows 10 x64 drivers for it. Thanks!

Hi:

There are no W10 or W8.1 drivers for that model graphics adapter.

What I would try is this...

Download and save, but do not run the W8 graphics driver from the link below.

NVIDIA DRIVERS Quadro/Tesla Desktop Driver Release 304 WHQL

Download and install this free file utility.  The 2nd link at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

7-Zip (7-zip.org)

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the graphics driver file you saved.

Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the driver exe file into its folder name.

Once that is done, go to the device manager.

Click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category.

Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter listed there.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for drivers option, and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

Then restart the PC.

Tried the steps suggested. It is not functioning.

After the driver was installed. The start button in the OS was not working. I had to restart the PC using the hardware/power switch on the workstation. The system was very slow and the display output was quirky and there was screen flicker and when opening applications or certain windows settings  the system was very slow or unresponsive.

Vinayb1807,

As I'm in the middle of refurbishing seven older systems- from 1998 to 2012, that includes mixing in components from different eras than the system, there have been important lessons, one, Windows 10 appears to reduce the performance of older systems. Here are the Passmark  Performance Test results on the same system except for the operating system:

AMD II X3 450 / Gigabyte M68MT-S2 (2012)(R1) Athlon II X3 450 (3C@ 3.2GHz) /Gigabyte M68MT-S2 R3.1 / 4GB DDR3-1333 / GT240 1GB / WD 750GB (Seagate ) > Windows 7 Home Premium > HP 2711x 27"
[ Passmark Rating_PT9 = 1356 / CPU= 2832 / 2D= 412 / 3D= 571 / Mem= 945 / Disk= 812] / Single-Thread Mark = 1131 [12.4.20]

AMD II X3 450 / Gigabyte M68MT-S2 (2012)(R3) Athlon II X3 450 (3C@ 3.2GHz) /Gigabyte M68MT-S2 R3.1 / 4GB DDR3-1333 / GT240 1GB / Seagate 750GB > Windows 10 Pro > HP 2711x 27"
[ Passmark Rating_PT9 = 1248 / CPU= 2785 / 2D= 385 / 3D= 505 / Mem= 948 / Disk= 715] / Single-Thread Mark = 1115 [12.10.20]

Comparing the general system ratings, The Windows 7 version has a +8%  advantage.

Of course, changing the operating system is an expense and a lot of work, so consider a more modern GPU with better performance.  If you need a Quadro- which is becoming less important for the average home user that doesn't need to use certified drivers as support protection for programs such as Catia, Solidworks, and Revit, the Quadro K600- about $25 now is a good value. There is a Windows 10, 64-bit driver for the Quadro K600:

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/167756/en-us

The highest Passmark 3D for the Quadro FX 1500 in xw4400 (69 tested) = 172 while the  average Quadro K600 3D= 782.  The Quadro K620 in an HP xw4400 can have a 3D = 2007.  The highest 3D mark in a xw4400 is 2530 using a GTX 960.  there isn't a test in an xw4400 using a GTX 750 Ti, but I would think the  would have a good 3D result; the average 3D = 3950. Interestingly, if there are to be no 3D applications, the highest 2D mark for the xw4400 is 505 and that using a Quadro FX1500.

Hi, @vinayb1807

Then I suggest you update your PC's graphics card to legacy card that has W10 driver support.
