HP t630 Thin Client
Linux

Hi,

We've purchased a number of T640 thin clients which come with ThinPro v7.2 installed and will replace older T620's which have ThinPro v7.1 installed and are EOL.

The thin clients are used to connect to a Citrix farm and a published desktop that has Skype for Business client installed and Citrix HDX 'Realtime Optimisation Pack' (RTOP)

We have an issue where we are unable to make Skype peer to peer calls to users externally connected into Citrix. Internal peer to peer calls are fine. It looks like the TC HDX RTME (v2.9) is not able to make a connection to the S4B Edge server to relay the audio to the external user.  The TC HDX RTME and the Citrix VDA RTOP are connected / optimised (double blue triangle).

The interesting thing is a T640 with ThinPro v7.1 sp19 installed with the same Citrix Workspace version (20.12) and HDX RTME (v2.9) works fine so looks like it has something to do with the ThinPro 7.2 installation and / or the HDX RTME configuration.

Installing the latest Citrix workspace update (22.09) disables by default the HDX RTME, I assume in preference for Teams support and re-enabling via a registry entry so the connection optimises gives the same issue.  If the HDX RTME is disabled i.e. becomes Un-optimised, external calls work fine, so looks like the issue is with the local HDX RTME.

Any idea's on how to fix ? We are not yet ready to move to Teams and need to ensure we are running supported hardware and TC OS.

Regards
