http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Notebook-PC-Questions/New-pen-won-t-work-with-stylus-control-opti...

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

So I received the replacement pen that sales recommended after telling my that the active pen was not compatible. On my desktop I have an app for stylus control.  The JotPro they sold me has no buttons to program and appears not to use this app. The app says Active Pen in the upper right corner.  The JotPro  is just an aluminum pen with funky stylus tip.

So my question is: Does the Active Pen work better or have more features than the JotPro?  Why does HP sales insist it doesn't work when they have an application for it on the computer?
