Hello,

I went thru the return process with online chat support. Handled it quickly and sent me a reconditioned replacement. Still the same printing quality problem. Not enough black ink is being applied. The black looks mottled dark gray. The color setup cartridges emptied after 15 11x17 color prints. The black is not even half empty even though my graphic art has majority black in the art. I tried all 20 paper settings on best quality on glossy brochure paper and premium presentation matte paper. Black was grayish on all. New HP computer, new printer, HP ink and paper. My old HP 7000 prints better using my 13 year old ACER computer. The 7000 prints true black on either paper, normal or best quality setting using the presentation paper setting. Wish the 7000 was still available. Mine has reached ink service capacity. Won't clean anymore. The 7000 was a good printer. Any more solutions for the 7110? Not enough black is being applied. I have done all support solution steps repeatedly. I paid for extended warranty and phone support. All I got was the same steps outlined in online support. Then they offered to remotely go into my computer for $199.00.

Another complaint - couldn't use my almost full cartridges from the returned printer in the replacement - says I chose setting to use cartridge only in that printer. I did not. The default setting is no and I chose no. New 1 is on no by default. $60.00 worth of ink I can't use in the same type printer. Can I override this?

My next solution is the Epson Workforce 7110.
