Usually this is an issue with one of the printheads and possible air in the ink tube assembly. To find out make a test page with color bars for the colors of the printheads and then run a test print to see which printhead color turns light or changes after the a number of passes. If one changes, before replacing the printhead you will need to make sure the tube is free of air. I use a syringe to draw ink so as to remove any air from the tube. If you do not do this, the new printhead will eventually get air in it and you are back where you started. Do not use the same printhead since with air in it, it will cause the tubes to have air again.

No I mean for you to use paint or another program to make vertical bars of each color about 6 inchs long. You then print the page to see if the bars change color and in particular which ones since that will tell you what tube(s) has air and which printhead will need to be replaced. What happens when air gets into the tubes and then into the printhead is there is a pocket of air that prevents the printhead from replenishing ink as it is used. After you finish printing some ink is able to flow past the pocket of air so the next time you print you get good print from that printhead until the pocket prevents replenishment. You could try your test prints but I am not sure if the size of the bars will be enough to tell you what prihthead(s) have issues.
