L25500 Firmware Update Problems

HP Recommended

Having problems updating the firmware in my 60in L25500.  I had to replace the harddrive and it was loaded with ver4.0.0.4.  I downloaded the latest ver GG-CAL_07_00_01-4_mvl40-x86-opt_B.signed.fmw but keep getting invalid file error when upgrading using the embedded web interface...

Hello PaulMcCasland,

It appears the instructions state "Extract the fmw file from the downloaded package.".

Maybe it's possible the file was given an incorrect extension, as the download is already a fmw file "GG-CAL_07_00_01-4_mvl40-x86-opt_B.signed.fmw".

The only thing I can think of would be to change it to .zip, and see if there's a file inside to extract.

Hi,

In some pinters you cannot update from an old firmware to the latest one. You have to update in steps.

If this is the case, Contact HP to confirm and get the files.

This is also a very likely possiblity, more likely than my suggestion. :generic:
