Paper loading problem

HP Recommended
Designjet T7100
Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

After installing the paper on the roll and closing the door, the paper moves up to the scan axis in the normal sequence. The carriage scans the bar code and then the printer sits idle displaying "loading roll 1" for about 5 minutes. Then it gives a 79:03 error code. Two minutes later, it advances the paper, cuts it, and the printer is ready to print. The client has been very patient to wait the 7 minutes, but there must be a solution. I have performed a disk wipe and an HDD erase to no avail. Should I try backdating the firmware to the previous version?

I suspect this was the gl2 driver problem... I had similar problem years back when I used the GL2 driver on Z3100 .

Then I switched to PCL driver & never seen error since.

Download the PCL driver & use update driver option to the PCL driver.

Try it... cost nothing.
